End to end website production

In 2023 a feminist research collective commissioned an academic-art project on the theme of decolonising psychoanalysis .

A series of interviews, and artists' replies, from across the globe, Common Knowledge was approached to help them publish online.

The co-op facilitated the research collective from beginning to end through a kick-off workshop, an identity and website design phase, static site development using React, and content revisions and final tweaks phase.

Security training for academic freedom

As publication approached, the co-op also supported the research collective by designing a security threat model and training them on (digital) security practices to maintain a degree of anonymity.

The contemporary political situation is fraught, and both state and non-state actors pose a threat to genuine academic freedom and progressive, critical knowledge production.

We are glad to be able to cross-pollinate learnings between progressive actors on protecting themselves in the course of the work they want to do.
